a few thoughts
A collection of thoughts that occur to me on an hourly basis.
Fight Me
You've got to challenge me, fight me, voice opinions that differ to mine. Otherwise, whats the point? It means you're not passionate enough about what you're doing. Or, you accept to follow my lead.
Capitalist Enjoyement
Got good grades? Here's a phone. Got into university? Let's have a party. Why does the feeling of enjoyment have to be connected to some act of purchase or splurging? When you set out to achieve something, what's your goal? Well, the goal. Then why do you need another dose of said 'enjoyment' to wash it down. The process, and if you insist-the goal- is where your enjoyment should stem from. When you appreciate these two, you will enjoy success and celebration like never before.
Buzzcut
Your hair makes you pretty. If you think you'd look terrible with it- cut it off. If you don't see yourself in your rawest form, you're attaching your sense of identity with the prettiest version. Self-love isn't loving yourself at your best, its loving yourself at your worst. Pretty doesn't last forever.
Politics with a dose of logic(RARE)
America became 'independent' in 1776- 250 years ago. England, unconquered for 1100. The most recent global hegemonies, and apparent symbols of a developed society Neither were ever colonised. Neither dealt with the oppression that India deal with. Neither had to start from absolute scratch at any point. India gained independence in 1947, a mere 76 years ago. Unlike them, our economy was left in ruins, society ripped apart, resources drained out, dignity stolen. Why are we moulding our society, sense of politics, philosophy, thinking in their manner. We are a good 200-1000 years behind them before we reach their level of power, government efficiency, social justice. To become a great country, we have to do something contradictory. Every great invention, idea, business went against the grain. We cannot follow western society.
